Don’t give up!!!

Some things can seem very overwhelming in spite of all your efforts.  You keep trying and trying and still can’t figure out how to do it. Sometimes you just want to give up!  Yet, watching my kids turn from infants to toddlers have helped my attitude over the past three years.  They literally fall over and over again as they learn to walk.  They struggle to learn to talk and communicate with us.  They do what they can to figure out this crazy world that we live in even though so much is new and overwhelming.  I encourage them to keep trying and don’t give up.

Today, I will take that advice and encourage you to do so too.  Even if things are difficult, take a break, re-group, make a plan of action and go back to the task at hand.  Don’t expect to tackle it all on the first try, instead divide it up so it’s manageable.  We can do it, and failure is acceptable as long as we keep trying.

Here are some quotes that will help us through.

“Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go.” –William Feather

“When the world says, ‘Give up,’ Hope whispers, ‘Try it one more time.’” –Unknown

“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.” –Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

“Never Give Up! Never, never, never, never give up. Never!” –Winston Churchill

Hi Char. That’s pretty inspiring. Trying isn’t failure, failure is when you give up. I believe it personally.

Great post. Thank you so much for the words.

  4. You are absolutely right. It’s kind of hard to get up and get going again, but once you do – you feel so much better

  5. I have been teaching my 6 year old niece not to give up when something does not go right. I tell her that “you are a go getter, not a quiter”.

Great quotes to ponder when one gets discouraged, as I did today over some tech stuff on the internet. And the video was really cute too.
