Daffodil month fashions

by Epic Mom on April 7, 2012

Dear Fashionistas,

Recently we lost a very dear girl to us from cancer. She was 16 years old and wonderfully adorable. She would call me for consults on graduation dresses, picture day outfits at school and hairstyles after she had chemo. So it seemed fitting that during Daffodil month as we show our support for cancer awareness, that I would write this fashion post about all things yellow!  As I was writing, I couldn’t help but think about the many times in the last year we spent talking, playing board games, laughing or herding my children around, and I would affirm her, “Cancer sucks, but I know you, and you will live your life to the fullest in spite of it!”  And dear readers, she did!  Here are some fashion pieces as sunny as her smile.  For more information on Daffodil month check out the Canadian Cancer Society.  Show your support in style!  There are lots of ways to wear yellow this month in support of cancer awareness.  These are just a few.

Ciao for now,

From the friendly fashionista

Honorable mention

These moustache shoes are not yellow, but they sure are funky.   They come with a free moustache tote bag and part of the proceeds go to the LIVESTRONG Foundation to support research for Prostate Cancer.
