Dear Fashionistas,
It’s that time of year, when we start yearning for a mid-season getaway to a white sandy beach or a fabulous cruise ship. When it comes time to pack, it always seems like the kids suitcases are already lined up in the front hallway while your clothes are haphazardly strewn across the room and your suitcase lies forlorn and empty. Well girlfriends, at the bottom of this post, is a handy-dandy checklist to make packing for the tropics infinitely easier.
Now that you have your checklist in hand, let’s talk about specifics. Stick with the classics like a white and navy-striped tee, slim cotton jeans and crisp white cargo pants. Throw in some cotton dresses in your favourite colours (for inspiration, think fushia, turquoise, orange or yellow). A great piece that can take you from the plane, to an excursion, to dinner on a cool night is a taupe cotton twill safari jacket. And ladies, don’t forget to top off your look. Choose to accessorize with beaded, silver or gold jewelry, pastel scarves or a colorful wide brimmed hat. Once you utilize these simple tips, you will find yourself cruising into spring with style.
Ciao for now,
From the friendly fashionista
