Happy Valentine’s Day Fashionistas,
Every day should be Valentine’s day but let’s be honest with each other: between taking care of the kids, running errands, cooking, cleaning, working, volunteering on church committees and boards, one of the last things on our list is to plan a daily romantic rendevous with our significant other. So as Valentine’sday approaches, plan to spend some quality time with the one you love.
Reserve a table for two at your favourite restaurant, rent a romantic comedy to watch together later on and update your playlist to include your favourite romantic songs of all time. As for fashion, simplicity is key. Pull on a slip dress, neutral pumps and delicate gold jewlery for the finishing touch. Later on choose a satin and lace slip, cover it with an unconventional chunky knit sweater and spritz on Estee Lauder’s Beautiful or Ralph Lauren’s Romance.
You do not need to make or receive extravagant gestures (although they are quite nice). All you need is to find some quiet, romantic moments to connect with that person you’ve vowed to cherish; to take the time to hold hands and look into each others eyes; to take that opportunity to talk about the mundane things in your life and your dreams for each other. My very dear friends, all you need…is love.
