Your Love Never Fails!!!

My friends are going through a very difficult time.  One of their two super awesome daughters has been battling cancer for ten years now.  We have prayed and it went into remission but this past year, it has come back with a vengence.  We have gotten on our knees, we have prayed, asked for healing, layed hands on her, cried with them, hugged them, held them silently, talked about the raw pain of seeing their beloved child loose her sight, words and ability to walk.

In the midst of this, she silently indicates for her hand to be held high in worship and she seeks God with passion and intensity.  She loves God wholeheartedly and inspires the rest of us to build a stronger relationship with Him.  This Christmas, she chose a verse for us which we cherish deeply:

That is why we never give up.  Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.  For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long.  Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!  So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, let’s fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.  For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.  2 Corinthians 4:16-18

We sang this song at a time of prayer we had with the family two weekends ago and it has been with me ever since.  “Your love never fails, It never gives up, It never runs out on me…”  I feel led to pass that word on to you dear reader.  You are not alone.  You are loved by the greatest, most wonderful love of all…the love of God!

  1. Wow! This must be so tough for your friends to endure! I am inspired by this. Wonderful song you put in here too.

Visiting from Cyber Connect blog hop!

  2. Epic Mom, I will definitely be praying for your friend and her family. Thanks for sharing; as we share we are strengthened and encouraged.

    • Thank you so much for your words and prayers Alison. It’s hard for the family to feel hopeful but everyone’s prayers help to lift them up.
      Blessings sister,

  3. Wow! What an inspiration that mom is.

  4. Char, this sounds like a gut-wrenching experience to have to endure. I can’t even imagine the emotional pain your friends are suffering through as they watch their daughter go through this. I’m praying for them too. There is power in prayer. The verse you share is just awesome. I actually needed to hear it today as I’ve lately been struggling with what I’m calling sort of a post-trauma anxiety.

My hubby and I have been dealing with one life crisis after another for at least 10 years and our most recent 3yr crisis of unemployment finally came to an end not long ago. So now I’m finding myself saying…”what next? what terrible thing do we need to learn and grow from next?” I’m a woman of strong Christian faith, but even I have moments of weakness. I know satan is just in my head trying to steal my joy, and the whole point is that no matter what happens next, God will carry us through it like He has every other time. Anyway, sorry to get off on a tangent, the verse you provided just reminded me that the problems we face in this world don’t last, but God…He and His love for us lasts forever. Thank you for this. 🙂

    • Hi Rosann,
Thank you so much for your prayers for my friends! I want you to know that we all have moments of weakness so do not let satan steal your joy! Our God is greater, our God is stronger (here’s another video for you: http://youtu.be/2AQ0Dv7kzoA). You have been pruned for the past 10 years, now it is time to bloom, grow healthy and strong sister.
      Sending you hugs and blessings,
