It is great that your daughter is helping you with the baking! I wish I started when I was very young! Anyway I was so happy to be able to bake a cake and make home-made ice-cream for mom’s birthday celebrations today. Her birthday was Thursday but we celebrated over the weekend. Take care and have a good week.
I remember getting baking goods from Bre! Very yummy! Look out Cake-Boss you got some competition hehe! I miss both of the munchkins!!!! See ya next week.
You’re so lucky Rachel. Brie is awesome with every aspect of baking but she doesn’t like it when we turn on the mixer so she excuses herself and goes to her room to play while I mix the ingredients and then she comes back to help me when I’m done. On the contrary my 1 year old son doesn’t seem to notice the noise. That being said, I don’t let her reticence with the mixer affect the rest of our baking experience, and I’m hoping she’ll outgrow this apprehension of hers.
My little girl loves baking with me! She always wants to hold the mixer! The only problem we’re facing, though, is that now anytime I’m cooking she wants to scoot a chair up and “help.” It’s cute though! 🙂
Isn’t it great to have these cute little helpers Casey. I’m so sad that one day she might be too cool to hang out and bake with me so I’m soaking this up while I have it.
Thanks Elena! Let me know how your kids like the carrot cake cupcakes. I’m thinking of adding grated veggies in them (like zuchinni) to make them healthier but I’m still not certain!?!

Looks so good! I love cooking with my 2.5 year old, he has such fun turning on the stand mixer for me and helping me pour ingredients. So cute!

Oh he loves all that stuff, he helped me puree my 6 month old’s foof with my cuisinart hand mixer this week!
Awww, that’s awesome. He’s such a good helper!
Your cupcakes look delish! I love carrot cake. Nice touch with the lime zest.
Your daughter is too cute. Love how she wanted some batter on her spoon!

Thanks for popping by and checking out our baking segment Jen. I personally found the lime zest just brightened the overall taste of the cupcake.

So, so cute. I loved her mixing up her ingredients. I bet those were the yummiest cupcakes ever.
Hey Jennifer, those cupcakes were pretty yummy. Next time, I’m thinking of topping them with toasted slivered almonds. We’ll see how that goes!-)
You have the most adorable helper! I love the little hoodie sweatshirt. I’ll have to try making these with my kids!
